Brian Parlin's inital head wrestling coaching season at Rochester John Marshall was in 2007. Coach Parlin is a native of Austin, MN and graduate of Austin Pacelli high school. Coach Parlin's wrestling accomplishments include being a four-time Big 9 All Conference selection, three-time Section 1 champion, and a two-time state place winner. He was also a captain on the cross country and baseball teams,and was an All Conference selection in both sports. Coach Parlin went on to wrestle in college at RCTC where he was a two-time MN NJCAA state champion at 157 pounds and a NJCAA national tournament qualifier in 2001 and 2002. He was an assistant coach at RCTC during the 2004-05 season, has been a freestle/greco-roman coach in Austin and has also coached the MN Storm team. Coach Parlin is also heavily involved in the MN vs Iowa & MN vs Wisconsin HS Senior Duals that are held after the HS State Tournament.
