Rocket Wrestling Coaches

Brian Parlin took over as head wrestling coach in 2007 and is a graduate of Austin Pacelli high school. Coach Parlin’s wrestling accomplishments include being a four-time Big 9 All Conference selection, three-time Section 1 champion, and a two-time state place winner. He was also a captain on the cross country and baseball teams,and was an All Conference selection in both sports. Coach Parlin went on to wrestle in college at RCTC where he was a two-time MN NJCAA state champion at 157 pounds and a NJCAA national tournament qualifier in 2001 and 2002. He was an assistant coach at RCTC during the 2004-05 season, has been a freestle/greco-roman coach in Austin and has also coached the MN Storm team.

Kent Kaupa started as an assistant coach at JM in 2007. He coached for over 20 years at Lake Crystal/Wellcome/Memorial, 5 of which he was the head coach. As a head coach, Kaupa took his LCWM team to state in 1998 placing 3rd.

Cory Urban joined the Rocket wrestling coaching staff in 2009 and we're very glad to have him on board. He's on the JM football coaching staff and is a former Owatonna high school wrestler.

Tom Giordano has been an assistant coach at JM and John Adams middle school since 2003. He is currently active with our youth, middle school and high school programs as well as being a Rocket Wrestling Club board member.

Mike Woltman started on the JM coaching staff in 2007. He has been an assistant coach for many area schools. He graduated from Owatonna and also coached there for 11 years.
